Below freezing in Utah

On 1/14/2013 I made this video of water freezing at below freezing temperatures.

My theory on why it didn't freeze before we shook it:
The reason I believe that it didn't freeze before shook it is that the particles inside the water didn't have a chance to bond to each other because there was no movement.  But, when we shook it, the particles or atoms started moving and bonding together and because it was below freezing the particles formed crystals and the crystals formed more and more.
